Astrophysicist Gets Magnets Stuck In His Nose From Being So Bored

I can't really blame the guy, we're all this bored. He is the first Astrophysicist on the #MoronMonday list though, for trying an experiment with magnets.....up his nose!

An experiment by Dr Daniel Reardon, a research fellow at a Melbourne University, ended with a trip to the ER and an embarrassing story for doctors and nurses, thanks to Quarantine boredom. Reardon told medical staff that he had a "bit of boredom in isolation" and tried coming up with a way for people to stop touching their face by using magnets and that's when they got stuck.

Reardon wanted to use magnet technology to create a necklace, bracelet and alarm, that would act as a warning when your hands got close to your face.

The 27-year old told The Guardian, “I have some electronic equipment but really no experience or expertise in building circuits or things." His failure to build the device, led him to try other things with the magnets, like sticking them up his nostrils. That's when things went bad and they got stuck.

After several attempts to remove the powerful magnets with more magnets, his roommate decided they need to go to the ER. "[She] took me to the hospital that she works in because she wanted all her colleagues to laugh at me. The doctors thought it was quite funny," he told The Guardian.

Trust me... I'm almost to the point of boredom, where sticking things up my nose seems like a solid idea too!
