Are you going to attempt dry January? 2021 has kicked off to an equally stressful start as 2020 but with a new year comes a fresh start, and, for some like Sisanie, that includes kicking alcohol for a month.

“I drank so much wine last year,” Sisanie shared with Ryan Seacrest. “So much.”

Sisanie added that she always attempts to do dry January but usually work events or a concert gets in the way. With the pandemic and current socially safe guidelines though she feels she might be able to make it this time.

So, how did dry January even start?

The dry January campaign was started in 2013 in England. There has been limited research on how quitting alcohol for a month affects your body, but a few studies have shown psychological and health benefits including lower levels of liver fat, improved blood sugars and lower cholesterol as well as improved sleep and concentration.

Not to mention, you’ll save money and lose weight! So, will Sis make it?
