We heard that Carrie Underwood's performance was going to be the showstopper and she didn't disappoint. I think all of America was in tears during and after her performance of the hymn "Softly and Tenderly." While she was singing pictures of those that country music has lost over the last year were on a screen behind her including video of Glen Campbell, Don Williams, and Troy Gentry. The part that really got most of us though was when the faces of the victims of the Las Vegas shooting tragedy were shown at the end. Even Carrie got emotional.
