Luke Combs stirred anticipation for the next chapter of his career on Wednesday evening (March 27).

The powerhouse singer-songwriter, who recently received his star on the Music City Walk of Fame, shared a statement on his Instagram story as he begins work on his next record. Combs wrote: “I’ve been spending the last couple of weeks working on what my next record looks like and as it begins to take shape I can honestly say I’ve never felt better about one at this stage. It’s early on but I really do think it could wind up being the best record I’ve ever made.”

Combs’ latest album is Fathers & Sons, a 12-track record that arrived in time for Father’s Day in June 2024. The project serves as a heartfelt tribute to the singer-songwriter’s life with his two young sons. He and his wife, Nicole Combs, are parents to Tex Lawrence Combs, born in June 2022, and Beau Lee Combs, born in August 2023.

Before that, Combs unleashed his powerful lead single from the star-studded Twisters album, “Ain’t No Love IN Oklahoma,” and back-to-back companion albums Growin’ Up (2022) and Gettin’ Old (2023). Collectively, those projects included “Doin’ This,” “The Kind of Love We Make,” “Going, Going, Gone,” “Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old,” “Where the Wild Things Are,” his award-winning rendition of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” and more.
